The techniques those are effective in the maximization of instructional time are: 
o Making good use of every instructional moment

 Prepare introductory remarks, questions or initial comments you may need 
 Provide a conductive environment 
 Explain the objectives of the lesson 
 Stress what is to be watched or listened 
 Summarizing or reviewing the experience

The functions of homework are: 
o Provide students the opportunity to refine and extend their knowledge, this is done through practice and advance preparation or reading 
o Homework also helps cultivate good study habits. It likewise communicates to the child that learning takes work at home as well as in school 
o For the teachers, it is a tool to assess the learning needs to learners with multiple intelligence and varied learning styles 


 2. To get most from homework, what guiding principles must be observed? 
For pupils to get the most from homework, the following guiding principles may be of help: 
o The amount of homework assigned to students should be different from primary to intermediate to high school 
o Parents as facilitators, involve only in homework assigned to students in a minimum 
o The purpose of homework and outcome of homework should be identified and articulated. Different purposes of homework also mean different forms or types of homework
