August 18, 2015 was the day where the three municipalities of Lanao del Norte hold a forum regarding the Implementation of Senior High School in 2016.  The said forum was attended by the Mayors, Vice Mayors, and Municipal Councilors, DILG officers, Barangay Chairmen and councilmen of the different barangays of the municipalities of Sapad, Kapatagan and Sultan Naga Dimaporo.  Secondary school principals, public and private were also present.  PTA presidents and Federated PTA presidents as well as the selected Grade 10 students in public secondary schools were also present.  The head teachers and principals of Elementary School of the said municipalities were also present.  There were also the presence of the DepEd personnel in the Division of Lanao del Norte headed by Superintendent Emmalinda E.                 The forum highlighted the presence of young and active governor of Lanao del Norte, Hon. Khalid Q. Dimaporo.  Gov. Dimaporo emphasized the 100 percent support of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte by giving six classrooms for Kapatagan NHS; two laboratories for science classroom with fully equip apparatus and materials for Lala National High School; and cover gym to Panoloon National High School.  The governor also stressed the importance of senior high school because he was a product of senior high school program in USA.  The governor assured the DepEd personnel that his administrations will be giving farm tractors for the TECVOC offerings of agricultural sectors.

The Superintendent Emmalinda E. Duhaylungsod give the importance of senior high school program and its benefit versus to the current curriculum in DepEd with respect to the financial expenses of the parents.  Madam Emma underscore that the parents must support their child in sending them to senior high school so that they will be employable, entrepreneur and ready for college upon graduating the new program.

Mayor Benjie Baguio, the municipal mayor of Kapatagan stressed the authentic and 100 percent support to the K-to-12 program and the implementation of Senior High School in year 2016.  He also give incentives to all barangay captains of the three municipalities by providing them with cash impetus worth of Php500.00 .  We can really sense the honesty and integrity of Mayor Benjie Baguio of being a true public servants.  Kudos Mayor Benjie Baguio!

The Honorable Barangay Captain Perfecto Bienes give the expression of support and commitment to the implementation of Senior High School in year 2016.  He highlighted the contribution of the Barangay Government of Panoloon to the building of one senior high school classroom.  He also noted that his administration will support to the acquisition of some equipment and materials in the PNHS TECVOC offerings.

Mr. Antonio P. Oliveros a KNHS grade 10 student expressed his hope to the senior high school class-offerings of DepEd that it will alleviate their poverty situation.  Antonio’s story was very touching and dramatic one; we should reflect that Antonio’s story of poverty; it was the same to the millions of students around the nation.  Through TECVOC offerings; the graduate of this program will be job ready!  Mr. Antonio P. Oliveros the answer of your problem is the TECVOC offerings of the Department of Education.
